As one of Charlotte, North Carolina's oldest communities, it is important to preserve the unique and historical characteristics of some of the city's most beautiful homes.

April 19, 2010 at 6:00 PM: City Council will hold a PUBLIC HEARING for proponents and opponents of the proposed HD rezoning petition, where you may present any of your comments before the City Council and the Zoning Committee. If you wish to speak, please sign up by calling the City Clerk prior to 3:00 PM the day of the hearing at 704-336-2248. This is the Char Meck Government Center at 600 East Fourth St.


April 28, 2010 at 4:30 PM:There will be a Zoning Committe Work Session following the public hearing where the Zoning Committee will render their recommendation. This is a public meeting open to anyone but is not a hearing. This is in the Char Meck Governement Center at 600 East Fourth St.


May 17, 2010 at 6:00 PM:This is the City Council decision date. If there is a process to defer, this date may change. Please check back to be sure. This is in the Char Meck Government Center at 600 East Fourth St.
